Steps in a typical logo development process
Below are the steps in a typical logo development process
Step 1: Research
The first step is to do research on your industry. We will identify the major players in the industry; evaluate their brands and flesh out the positioning they are trying to achieve. From that we will identify a positioning strategy.
Step 2: Concepts
Typically we will present you with 6-12 concepts to choose from and a number of variations. We will also do a typeface study and color study.
Step 3: Concept Refinement
From the initial batch of concepts we will choose one to revise and refine. We will go through a revision process until a concept is finalized.
Step 4: Develop Multiple Formats and Style Guide
With the finalized concept we will generate versions used for professional printing and as source files for other formats and additional versions ready to deploy for web, email and some print applications. We can also create a branding style guide to that you can distribute the branding assets and your employees can all work off the same page.
