Bio:At an early age I was struck in the head by a creative stick and managed to graduate from Platt College in 2007 with a B.A. in Visual Communications/Interactive Web Media. Through my 3 years of college I worked as a freelance web designer as well as having a permanent position for a small print shop designing print & marketing materials for local businesses. Immediately after graduating I packed up and moved from SoCal to Portland, where I now sit at a desk in the Phoogoo office drinking my daily hot chocolate.
I design anything from minimal to maximal, bright to dark, clean to grungy... then translate those designs into HTML/XHTML/CSS, hand-coding it or not.

Bio:I've been a Web / Application Developer for 11 years now, focusing mainly on PHP and Ruby on Rails. When I'm not working I enjoy painting, writing, and spending time with my family and friends. About 8 years ago my wife and I packed up our belongings and moved to Portland sight unseen. It was a somewhat scary experience that turned out to be one of the best decisions we have ever made. We immediately fell in love with Pacific Northwest and it's creative and vibrant culture. Since moving here I have been able to put some of my creative energy to good use, working on some very diverse and creative projects. I enjoy creative problem solving and the satisfaction of doing a job well done.
Position Held: Sales & Marketing Intern
Email: breen.nolan@phoogoo.com
Bio: After graduating from Manhattan College in the Spring of 2007 I packed up my bags, sold all my furniture, and moved to Portland, Oregon. While many people thought I would be running my own company in New York City by now, I choose a different path and have never been happier and more free; surrounded by all the beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer. In my free time I enjoy writing about my family members and putting them into miniature comics, reading J.D. Salinger, riding my sweet Schwinn bicycle, and baking.
Position Held: SEO & PPC Advisor
Bio: I am fascinated by the way in which data is presented and located online. This is why I've chosen to specialize in organic search engine engine optimization and heuristic analysis. I enjoy teaching people, rather than throwing paperwork at them. My favorite thing to see is the joy that comes from understanding. I want to walk away from a company knowing that they have learned a more efficient way to manage their data or understand how others see their site. Visualization often trumps pure data, and analogies rule. I love the thrill of change management.
